Candy dolls are wildly popular online.  If you are familiar with prep dolls, you have a head start.  Candy dolls are similar, but they are usually a bit more fun.  They are bigger.  The faces are larger, and the bodies are longer.  They have more childlike bodies.  They aren’t as suggestive as the prep dolls, so they look sweeter and more innocent.

The coolest thing about Candy dolls is that they are bigger.  This means that the faces, hair, clothes, and accessories have more details.  You have a lot more options when you can actually see the larger eyes up close.  Their faces are more expressive.  You can convey emotions better.  The hair you have to choose from is bigger, and can be more intricate.  You can have complicated hair styles and be able to see all the tiny details.

Another reason Candy dolls are more fun is that the prep dolls are everywhere.  For years, everyone has used prep dolls in signatures, emails, websites, and forums.  There are tons of prep doll makers, but they are all pretty much the same unless you get into the goth and fairy doll makers.

Candy dolls are more unique.  They aren’t as widely used yet as prep dolls, so your signature or design is a lot les likely to be exactly the same as someone else’s.

Candy dolls are also easier to practice on for people who are interested in making clothing, accessories, and dolls of their own.  Because they are larger, people new to graphic software find them easier to draw on and outfit.  You can even see them with really detailed hazel eyes and beautiful jewelry.  That’s a lot more difficult to do with the tiny prep dolls.  To get started, just find a candy (or candy bar) doll maker!
