All celebrity doll makers were started by a person.  With a little patience and practice, you can make a completely unique celebrity doll that you might even share with others.  Start out with your favorite picture of your celebrity.  Make a new layer, trace the outline of the body, and then fill in with a paintbrush.

The face is usually the biggest problem.  If you find one you like from celebrity doll makers, you can stick it onto your body.  If not, save often and be patient.  Use slightly darker colors to shade the areas below cheekbones and around noses.  With dolls, it’s sometimes better to skip the nose altogether and just make the “hint” of a nose.  It often looks a lot better.

Once you’re happy with your doll, you can look at celebrity doll makers to get ideas before making clothes and accessories.  To save the doll without the picture showing, simply make the layer that the picture is on invisible, then merge visible in Paint Shop Pro.  Voila!  Your own celebrity doll!
